Hi I'm Paula!
Welcome to Intuitive Birth Doula Care! I am a certified ICEA Birth Doula based in Tallahassee, FL. I am also a Lactation Counselor and Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I was born and raised in Miami, am Spanish-speaking, and aim to provide an inclusive practice that can reach diverse populations in an effort to deconstruct the barriers that may hinder your birth vision. I strive to embolden you and your loved ones to use your voice and support you where I can.
My passion for birth work ignited when I was 12 years old and had the opportunity to be present and take part in the birth of my cousin. I have worked with both prenatal and postpartum women advocating for their rights in the medical system, educating families on their health options, and empowering them in their transition to welcoming their baby and new selves as parents.
In 2019 I attended a birth doula training through ICEA and am proud to call myself a doula. I bring my therapeutic skills and passion for birth work together to care for families I am privileged to partner with.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my partner and 3 year old daughter, being outside, and listening and dancing to all sorts of music. Whenever I get the chance, I like to cook and enjoy food that reminds me of home and my loved ones in Chile.
My ultimate goal is to provide the space for you to have the loving care you choose, ensure you feel heard, and for you to stand strong in your birth choices to set a precedent for you in your parenting journey.
